what is a health coach?
A Health Coach is a guide for transformation, helping clients to discover their WHY behind desired health goals. They help to identify blind spots and challenges that have kept clients from succeeding in the past, and help them to realize that they are the experts on their own minds, bodies & circumstances. A Health Coach is your accountability partner that helps you stay the course of reshaping your life to be healthier and happier.
Do you only focus on diet & exercise?
The key to finding true health is far more than just what ends up on your plate or how often you exercise. Feeding and supporting your body with nutritious foods and movement are certainly priorities. But, we will take inventory about many aspects of your life- including sleep, relationships, your environment, spirituality, community & more to find balance and fulfillment in all areas.
do i need to prescribe to a specific diet?
A major theme that I rely on is bio-individuality. This means that what works for some, may not work for others. We will explore different recipes, dietary theories and overall balanced nutrition to help you find what makes YOUR body feel the best.
do you help combat specific chronic diseases?
As a Health Coach, I am here to support & guide you through a journey of self-discovery, providing tools, tips and tricks along the way to help you achieve your goals. By adopting a lifestyle that reduces toxins, adds in an abundance of whole foods, and prioritizes self-care and personal development, many will find that the body is capable of full healing. While I bring a vast knowledge of chronic disease management from being a Registered Nurse, I am not a medical doctor. If you are struggling with chronic diseases and wish to add in a holistic approach to try and achieve better overall wellness, I encourage you to talk with your physician about your decision to work with a health coach to give you that added support for success.
